How to get your Xero API details

How to get your Xero API details

  1. Head to https://developer.xero.com/app/manage
  2. Click on the button "New app" to create a new app
  3. Set the app name to "Elliephant Connection"
  4. Leave integration type set to "Web app"
  5. Set the Company or application URL to "https://members.elliephant.com/"
  6. Set the Redirect URI to "https://members.elliephant.com/xero/auth/callback"
  7. Read the terms and conditions and agree if you accept and the click "Create app"
  8. Once the app is created click on the "Configuration" tab
  9. Copy the "Client id" from this tab and put it in the form to the left of the popup
  10. In Xero click on "Generate a secret" and copy the secret code and put it in the form to the left of the popup
  11. On the form tick if you want to import Payroll (aka Staff) or Contacts (aka Clients) or you can tick both
  12. Once filled out click "Save"
  13. Once saved you can then click on "Import Data" to start the import of your Xero data
